Nithyananda - A Brief Timeline of the Controversial Guru
1977- Born in Tiruvannamalai - a place well known for religious temples, with birth name Rajasekaran. Parents : Arunachalam, Lokanayaki
2010 - A video clip of him and tamil actress Ranjith was released by Nakeeran magazine, in which Nithyanada was involving in romantic activities with the actress.
This video had made a big dent in Nithananda's growing fame in the state.
Later A guy named Lenin Karuppan who was close disciple and ex-driver of Nithyannda came forward to accept that he was the one who arranged to record that secret video.
He confessed that , he did so because he did not tolerate the act of his Guru sleeping around with other women.
The actress has filed a case against Lenin and Arti rao that the video is a morphed one.
Apart from this , a girl from trichy who volunteered in Nithyananda Peedam aged 24, has died in a mysterious way which further defamed Nithyananda's popularity.
Several charges including Rape attempt, Cheating, criminal abetment were filed against him.
The controversial guru is facing the cases still in the court.
Meanwhile, during October 2018, while a court hearing , it was said the Arti rao & Lenin karuppan were trying to record the hearings of the court which is illegal and hence arrested by the Police.
Even though Nithyanda lost this fame in the country, still he has good number of followers from abroad for his spiritual speeches.
