The stem / root (not clear) of this plant Garuda sanjeevani which has a unique spiral shaped structure helps it move against the flow of water if it is placed in a running water like small canal, river etc.

And if you have kept this step vertically in pouring tap water, you can see the stem climbing upwards against the flow of water.

Even though it looks like a miracle, it is pure science in which the structure of this stem helps the water flow derives as the energy to drive in opposite direction against it.

At the other end of the canal, a fellow holding the other end of the stick starts pulling it as soon as the stick is released in water. Such stick can move only in flowing water against the direction of flow, but not in stagnant water as is shown in this doctored video
